Our Story

Gift of Giving Gala is a newly established organization committed to supporting mental health initiatives for children and youth. We are driven by the belief that hands-on involvement and personal visits to these facilities ensure the quality and passion behind the causes we support.

Our journey began with a simple yet profound idea: to use our passion for planning extraordinary events to make a tangible difference in the lives of those in need. We recognized that while celebrations are wonderful, their true value lies in their potential to uplift and transform communities. With hope and determination, we embarked on this remarkable journey.

At the heart of our mission is a deep-seated belief in the potential of our youth. We recognize that they are not just the future but the very essence of our collective hope and dreams. Thus, we have chosen to focus our efforts on supporting programs and initiatives that nurture their holistic well-being, particularly in the realm of mental health. This is why our focus is on the Hospital of Regina Mental Health Adolescent Unit and Detox Centre, along with Dragonfly Child and Family Wellness Centre.

For our third year, this event will take place at the Conexus Art Center on September 12th, 2026, for the Gift of Giving Gala’s “Come Fly With Us” gala. This event is poised to be an extraordinary occasion, meticulously curated to raise significant funds and awareness for the crucial cause of youth mental health.

“Come Fly With Us” will offer an enchanting program, meticulously designed to captivate and delight our esteemed guests. The evening will feature a series of riveting entertainment acts, a sumptuous plated dinner service, and an open bar offering a selection of premium beverages. For 2026 we will also be offering complimentary cab service to and from the Gala. This event presents a unique and invaluable opportunity to network and forge meaningful connections with fellow humanitarians and prominent corporate leaders from within our community and the surrounding areas.

We believe no child should be left without care during their most vulnerable moments. This is why we’re committed to shining a light on the urgent gaps in mental health care and doing everything we can to fill them—through community, compassion, and collective action.

We proudly support several local initiatives, including:

  • Hospitals of Regina Foundation Mental Health Adolescent Unit and Detox Centre, which faces significant strain as it operates over capacity to serve youth from Regina and surrounding areas.
  • Dragonfly Family & Wellness Centre, offering counselling and trauma support services in a compassionate, culturally sensitive environment.
  • Lincoln’s Life Matters Foundation, dedicated to suicide prevention, education, and mental health advocacy, created in memory of a young life lost too soon.

Each of these organizations plays a unique and essential role in the mental health ecosystem, and together, they form the heart of our cause.

The challenges are real: from a lack of mental health beds and long wait times, to the inability for many families to afford basic counselling. Youth often arrive at these facilities with nothing but the clothes on their backs, and critical resources like therapy tools, basic comfort items, and psychological assessments are in short supply due to limited funding.

This is where you come in.

Whether attending the gala, donating, or volunteering, your support helps us provide much-needed funding, resources, and hope to youth and families in crisis. Together, we’re building a stronger, healthier, and more compassionate community — one step, one child, and one gift at a time.

Thank you for joining us on this journey.
